SEA SHEPERD CONSERVATION SOCIETY:
(SSCS) was founded in 1977 by Paul Watson, who co-founded Greenpeace, on the principle that "we did not inherit the earth from our parents, we are borrowing it from our children." By 1981, SSCS international marine wildlife conservation and enforcement actions had ended illegal pirate whaling in the Atlantic.
