Photos of Brazil: Bombinhas beaches is a small edition of images captured while visiting the lovely beach town of Bombinhas, in Porto Belo peninsula, State of Santa Catarina. Brazil.
Nested between super-developed Balneario Camboriú (40 km) and magical Florianópolis (79 km), Bombinhas has grown internationally famous since the early 60s, favored by surfers, scuba divers and beach lovers in general.
For surfers, Mariscal is the place to go, while divers would choose the protected Arvoredo Marine Reserve, Galés Island and Desert Island, top destinations for diving in Brazil, where the warm currents of the North meet the cold currents of the South, providing a huge diversity of fauna and flora.
The number of Bombinhas beaches goes up to 18 or more, some of them still desert, only accessed by boat. The largest ones are Mariscal and Bombas (4 and 2 km respectively), followed by Bombinhas and Quatro Ilhas ( between 800 meters and 1 km extension each).
Tahina, do Ribeiro and Praia do Embrulho are smaller, but my favourite is Praia do Sepultura, a small inlet with calm waters, ideal for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking.
For now, let's have a look at the place. If you've been there already, we'd love to hear your opinion.
If you haven't, we are more than happy to show you some of the top Brazil attractions so you can plan better your own discovery of South America when the moment comes...
