Peru Adventure Tours: Cordillera Blanca Treks:

Cordillera Blanca mountain range is Peru's climbing Mecca and home to memorable treks as well (check Alpamayo trek, for instance).
Located in the Callejón de Huaylas, it runs along the eastern flank of Santa river, hosting both, the largest and most beautiful snow capped mountains in Peru: Mt. Huascaran (Peru's highest peak at 6,768 m.a.s.l.), Chopicalqui (6,354 m.a.s.l.) and Alpamayo (5,947 m.a.s.l.), among others.

In addition, several towns at the foot of the mountains (i.e.Huaraz, Yungay, Caraz) provide for all your needs of climbing rental gear, guides, porters, etc. Please review the climbing gear required list.

Cordillera Huayhuash mountain range is located some 250 km NE of Lima, and about 50 km South of the Cordillera Blanca.
One of the most beatiful circuits in the world, according to experts.

The full trekking circuit stretches along 165 km (100 miles) and can be walked in about twelve days.
It's provably the most splendid of Peru's mountain ranges, with peaks such as Mt. Siula Grande (6,344 m.a.s.l.) and Yerupaja (6,634 m.a.s.l.)
