Gigapan Brazil marks the beginning of Gigapan South America, featuring some very-high resolution panoramic pictures from Brazil's capital, Brasilia.

Brasilia, inaugurated on April 21st., 1960, is a landmark in the history of town planning and a masterpiece of modernist architecture.

It is the only city in the world - built in the 20tc. century - to be awarded the status of Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, in 1987.


To celebrate Brasilia's 50th. anniversary in 2010, the Brasilias project was born, led by Brazilian photographer and multimedia professional Ardonai Rocha, to..."promote its heritage, people, architecture monuments, art and culture across the globe".
