Endicott College opens its first Southern Hemisphere M.Ed. Center
by Sue Collins
The center, located in Montevideo, Uruguay, will open in January 2013
Endicott College will offer two M.Ed. Programs at the new Montevideo center: M.Ed. in International Education and M.Ed. in Special Needs with Behavioral Studies, in addition to the six degrees which are currently offered in Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Mexico and USA.
Participants complete the degrees through a blended approach of summer and online courses; the flexible program of studies allows them to study over an extended period of time to meet their personal needs.
“The Endicott M.Ed. Programs are highly successful in our European and North American locations” said Richard Pacheco, Dean of Endicott College Madrid. “Our new center in Uruguay will address the needs of international school teachers in Southern Hemisphere locations.”
“Endicott College has literally changed my life” said Daniel Kerr, Middle School Principal, Shanghai Community International School “What I learned through this program has been immeasurable with regards to leadership, educational best practice and pedagogical research, networking, relationship building, curriculum, and how to positively affect over student learning.”
Endicott College is accredited by The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC); its main campus is located in Beverly, Massachusetts.
