• Day 1: HUARAZ - PARON LAKE - BASE CAMP:
  At a proper time in the morning our private bus will pick passengers up and drive to Caraz. Then, along the Paron valley will start going up until the Paron lake, 2 ½ hours driving. We'll start backpacking to the base camp upside the lake. Hiking will take about 1 hour, then set up the camping site and free afternoon to check the climbing gear. Overnight at the base camp of Artesonraju.
• Day 2: BASE CAMP - CAMP 1:
  After breakfast the passengers will start climbing, up to the Moraine camp and then change or put on their climbing clothes and gear, then start climbing ice. After a few hours we will get to camp1 and set up the tents in the snow. Here, the high mountain cook will prepare special meals and hot drinks. Overnight at camp 1, 5,200 m.a.s.l aprox.
• Day 3: CAMP 1 - SUMMIT - BASE CAMP:
  Early breakfast, around 1pm. We'll start climbing around 2am in the hard snow, and after climbing ice using technical skills for about 4 hours aprox., the climbers will get the summit of Artesonraju. Once climbers get to the summit they will have the splendid views of the mountain range and the snow caped pyramids such as Alpamayo and Pyramid. Adventures tours will be successful climbing this mountain. Will get down until the base camp, where the Andean cook will be preparing food and hot drinks. Rest at tents and overnight in the base camp Artesonaraju or Paron lake
• Day 4: BASE CAMP - PARON LAKE - HUARAZ:
  After the last breakfast in thewe will prepare our camping equipment and start backpacking until the base of the Paron lake where our bus will be waiting. After 1 hour walking around Paron lake we will take our bus and drive down along the Paron valley until Caraz, the small town where we will have lunch, and walk round its main square. Finally, drive direct to Huaraz and hotel, arriving aprox at 3 pm.

• Sleeping tents - 2 persons in each capacity tent with plenty of space for your backpacks and better comfort.
• Double thickness foam mattress
• Kitchen tent, Dining tent with camp tables and chairs
• First aid kit including emergency oxygen bottle
• Huascaran National Park entrance fee
• Hot water every morning and evening for washing purposes (while hiking)
• Cook and Cooking equipment
• Excellent Meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
  Food includes pancakes, omelets, soups, fresh fruit, avocado, pasta, chicken, fish, meat, rice, all rich in carbohydrates and suitable for trekking, hot drinks including coca leaf tea which is excellent for the altitude
• We supply boiled water to fill in your water bottle all the time,(while hiking) if you may need more, please request it with enough time ahead to your crew
• Teatime (tea, coffee, biscuits, popcorn)
• Horses and Donkeys days (for equipment and personal items, actually your main heavy stuff, will be carried by the horses, it means you only will carry a small day bag, day by day, we included 01 emergency horse to ride on
• Bus returning from Laguna Paron to Huaraz city and transfer to your hotel

• Sleeping bags, you can rent one in Huaraz or bring your own

What to Bring with You:

• Backpack,
• Sleeping bag
• Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Huaraz for a few dollars)
• Strong, comfortable hiking shoes
• One complete change of clothing (you can afford to carry more changes of clothing if you hire a personal porters, see options below)
• Sweater and jacket (something warm)
• Water bottle, ideally non disposable canteen (boiled drinking water will be provided)
• Torch / Flashlight and batteries
• Hat or cap to protect you from the sun. Also sun block (sun protection cream)
• Insect repellent, absolutely the most important item for this hike is bug spray. Anything with a lot of DEET with do the job, anything less is simply not sufficient. Bug spray MUST be bought in Huaraz, as it cannot be found even in neighboring towns.
• Toiletries, towel and toilet paper
• Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries, plus cash in Soles (Peruvian currency) and U$S
• Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at Hunacarhuaz after the trek)
• You also need to bring a copy of your passport on the trail
